It is a calm evening, the sky is clear and the full moon is reflecting so much light on our planet that I don’t need a headlamp for finding my way. Moreover, it is not too cold outside. Perfect conditions to go for an evening walk with my dogs. I put on my snoeshoes and we go slowly up into the mountains. From the top of the hill I have more than just a nice view back over Sandness…
I can also see northern lights dancing faintly in the sky.
Since I was not very impressed by this slender green stripe, I packed my camera away and continued on my way. But as I came around the next swing, the northern lights were back and giving a good show. Sometimes it was even purple.
But not everybody shared my compassion of watching the northern lights for several hours. Leif thought that this is rather boring and preferred to fall asleep.
