Already during the first nights of the month it became much colder during the nights. Soon, the first frost set in and we need’t wait too long for the first snow either. The fjord began to freeze over and the silence of the winter covered the landscape. The northern lights painted their pictures in the sky and the day retired and let the polar night reign.
At the end of the month temperatures dropped to -20 degrees celsius during the night and this October was the coldest October in Norway for the last 10 years.
But luckily i finished my new winter socks on time so that I needn’t be afraid of the coming winter.
